Offered by the Sydney Mail in February 1904, the One Hundred Pound Prize was for the best story by a resident in the Commonwealth. There were no restrictions as to subject or length. Copyright reverted to the writer after publication in the newspaper. (http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article164904846)

Offerred in 1904 for 'the best original tale by an author resident in the Commonwealth'. There were no restrictions on subject or length and the winning story was to be serialised in the Mail. Entries were sunbmitted anonymously. The Mail received 261 entries and a shortlist of 12 arrived at.
