History
The Queensland Rural Women's Network short story competition was for an unpublished short story for an unpublished short story with no more than 3,000 words. It was open to female Queensland residents aged 16 and up.

The Queensland Rural Women's Network Short Story Competition (QRWN) was founded in 1993 to meet the needs of women in rural communities throughout the state. The QRWN calls for short stories from all Queensland women over teh age of sixteen as part of their annual 'Cultural Competition'
