'The man instrumental in establishing the Australian Institute of Aboriginal Studies (subsequently AIATSIS), former federal Member of Parliament and the Commonwealth’s first Minister with responsibility for Aboriginal Affairs, the Honourable WC Wentworth AO, died in June this year.
