'Te Rēhia Theatre, established 2012, is a proudly Māori theatre, championing Māori playwrights, tikanga Māori arts practice, te reo Māori and the presentation of our diverse stories

Te Rēhia Theatre, named in honour of the atua of leisure grew out of SmackBang Theatre Company, presenters of Raising The Titanics (2010-11) and is led by Amber Curreen and Tainui Tukiwaho based at Te Pou – The Auckland home of Māori Theatre.'
