'Set in contemporary times in far Western NSW and also southern Tasmania, Mercy is an exploration of human relationships, guilt and redemption, dementia and ageing through the voice of Bella Gordon. Bella relives her life, her loves, losses and her wrong turns in the confines of a nursing home. Mercy is a unique combination of rural and literary fiction which embodies the Australian landscape and the human condition.'
