    About the poem:

One summer a huge hornet guarded our swimming pool and kept everything out, even the humans. He would border control the edges and everyone was scared. I remember thinking how vulnerable humans are with such thin skins. At one point he darted at me and I splashed him and he was overwhelmed with the water. I saved him and hoped he would be more friendly, but he came back with three of his mates!
