'This thesis explores the development of major themes in Martin Boyd's Anglo Australian novels, that is, The Mont forts, Lucinda Bray ford and the Langton sequence. Examination of these novels shows that, though constantly drawing on Boyd's family background and his personal experience in both Australia and Europe, they are not repetitive, but demonstrate a trend towards growing maturity in writing.'
