BiographyHistory

WestWords is a not-for-profit literary organisation based in Parramatta, with a focus on championing Western Sydney writing and communities.

WestWords delivers residencies, fellowships, workshops, presentations, and publications: for example, they publish works from the WestWords LGBTQIA+ writers’ group, the Blacktown Mayoral Creative Writing Prize, and WestWords' African Australian Literature Development Program.

In 2020, they won the Excellence in Arts and Culture category of the Western Sydney Awards for Business Excellence.
