New Voices Challenge Old Stories, Jeanine Leane , single work review
— Review of Terra Nullius Claire G. Coleman , 2017 single work novel ;

'Noongar writer Claire Coleman's debut novel, Terra Nullius, envisions a continent disturbingly familiar and worryingly futuristic. Disturbing because it opens with a scenario of settler dispossession; worrying because Coleman's stories serve as a critique of recent history and prophesy a "second wave invasion and a post-colonial future". It is a future beyond the boundaries of familiar 21st-century post-colonial settler discourse on reconciliation and "settlement" in a nation founded on the dispossession of Aboriginal lands, and ongoing "unfinished business" with the first people.'
