19th-Century Australian Travel Writing
These Rough Notes of Journeys are anonymously published. Detailing a global voyage, the work describes the author's extensive travel through the countries within Asia, America, the Pacific, and Australasia across six years. Written in a very descriptive and engaging manner, this narrative portrays the daily life of a traveller. The author does not spend much time in Australia, however he describes the towns of Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania, making comparisons between the Australian and American colonies.
