BiographyHistory

Marion Sinclair was educated at Toorak College, and then Melbourne University Conservatorium of Music, where she graduated with a Dip.Mus. in 1925. During the 1920s and 1930s she was a music teacher and boarding mistress at Toorak College, and in this time also became involved in the Girl Guides' movement. She is often remembered for her children's song 'Kookaburra', which she wrote in 1932 and which achieved world wide popularity at the time.
