BiographyHistory

Private Lewis ('Louis) Farmer, was just nineteen, when he enlisted. He fought throughout the war [with the 28 Infantry Battalion], and was discharged in 1919.' He had three brothers: Augustus, Kenneth and Larry who all enlisted into the Australian Army and saw combat. However, two of his brothers Augustus and Larry were killed in action in France.
