This topic allows students to acquire high level writing skills. Students will develop clear, concise, correct and compelling English written expression in intensive writing workshops. Practice in developing and writing a range of outcomes-based organisational documentation will ensure that students can offer specialist writing skills to future and current employers. The topic is offered as a 2/3 elective within the English major sequence.

Educational Aims

* To develop knowledge of organisational writing in a team setting

* To develop an understanding of organisational writing formats

* To provide opportunities to learn and apply skills required for achieving success in writing at a specialist level and to build a writing portfolio

Expected Learning Outcomes

* Students will be aware of the range of team-based organisational writing

* Students will be able to format and write a range of organisational documents from start to finish both as part of a team and alone

* Students will be able to edit and proof their own writing and that of others

* Students will be able to write to a deadline
