  • Aired on BBC Radio (Home service Basic) on 22 September 1956, at 9:35pm.

    Producer: H. B. Fortuin.

    Cast members included Bill Owen (Henry Watson), Martin Lewis (Mr Leech), Andrea Malandrinos (Nick the Greek), Nancy Nevinson (Italian teacher), Janette Richer (Miss Brown), Alan Reid (James Hedley), Bernard Rebel (Diamond merchant), Allan McClelland (Inn proprietor), Dino Galvani (Dr Capacci), Malcolm Hayes (Postmaster), Ian Hindle (Joey), Robert Sansom (Mr Dunstable), and Peter Neil (Robert Carson).
