An Australian-American co-production and loose adaptation of the third novel in Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles series, Queen of the Damned follow the vampire Lestat as he awakens (both literally and metaphorically) to Nu Metal, and refashions himself as a rock star. Warned by his compatriots that the vampire world will not endure his level of fame and exposure, Lestat finda a powerful ally in Akasha, the first vampire, who has been awoken herself by Lestat's music.
