BiographyHistory

Visual artist and poet.

Born in Sydney, Jenny Pollak is the daughter of a biochemist and a biologist/artist. Leaving school at seventeen, she moved to London with her parents and sister, and studied etching at the Byam Shaw School of Painting and Drawing. Returning to Sydney aged eighteen, she attended various technical colleges, studying life drawing, printmaking, and photography.

Among her artistic achievements has been a period as Artist in Residency at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney (Australia Council New Work Grant, 2009).

Jenny Pollak began writing poetry in 2012.
