BiographyHistory

The Catholic University of Ireland opened in 1854, located on St Stephens Green, Dublin. In the early 20th Century, the university was renamed the University College Dublin and has grown to become Ireland's second largest tertiary institution. During the 1960's, the university began to relocate its faculties to a new campsus at Belfield, 4 km's south of Dublin. The University College Dublin Press, also having been renamed from Dublin: The University Press of Ireland, is the publishing branch of the university
