'Treasures in a Tea Tin is a delightful story of girls and boys growing-up in Rockhampton in the early 1900s. Central to this group of teenagers was Joan Archer, born at Gracemere homestead and later a pupil at Rockhampton Girls' Grammar School. Then she travelled to London in 1906 to complete her education, her Rockhampton classmates kept in touch through handwritten letters and colourful postcards. The girls told of school events, new clothes, dances and the latest boy/girl parings....(Publication summary)
