History
The Karen W. Treanor Poetry Awards are open only to Western Australian residents. There are two categories: Open, and the Youth Awards for writers aged twelve to eighteen. Poems must be between 14 and 50 lines, of any style and theme, traditional or contemporary. The awards are run by the Katherine Susannah Prichard Writers' Centre.
