BiographyHistory

William Mason has enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force (AIF) in Albany on 31 December 1914, later he was appointed to the 3ed Reinforcements of 10th Australian Light Horse Regiment at Guildford. On the 22 February he disembarked from Fremantle to the Port of Suez and eventually travelled through to Gallipoli. During his campaigns throughout 1917 and 1918 Mason was hospitalised several times with various ailments, and by September was disembarked at Fremantle and discharged from the AIF in October 1918.
