'Senior Alyawarre lawman and songline custodian, Donald Kemarre Thompson, known as Crookhat, has lived forever on his homelands. Crookhat is still fit at 74 and continues to hunt porcupine, kangaroo and lizard. He only travels to Alice Springs for land council business and rare hospital visits. The section of the Dingo songline Crookhat and his five brothers are responsible for is one of the most culturally significant to cross the Barkly Tableland.'
