Building on the theory and competencies acquired in FITV11-110, students will expand their knowledge of scriptwriting and narrative strategies for different forms. These will include short and long form drama and comedy writing for both film and television. The students will each write a short film screenplay to help better understand the writing process. A major focus of the subject will be learning to analyse screenplays by watching and analysing existing samples of film and television and breaking them down to see how and why the screenplay has been constructed the way it has.
