BiographyHistory

Initially appointed as the company's Marketing Manager, Sam Cook has been Executive Producer of Australia's leading Aboriginal theatre company - Yirra Yaakin, since 2003, resigning in March 2009. A Nyikina sister from the Kimberley region of Western Australia, Sam has worked in publishing for seventeen years, theatre for eight years, and is a trained visual artist.

She has been instrumental in the creation of an international indigenous alliance called Honouring Theatre, a tri-nation initiative with sister companies Taki Rua (NZ) and Native Earth (Canada) working together to bring indigenous theatre to the world.

In 2011 Sam joined Tracker as a regular with her KISSmyBLAKarts column.
