Lubora Jedruszazak fled from Russia to China with her family following the Russian Revolution. There she married and had three children. During World War II, she and her husband were imprisoned by the Japanese. Her husband did not survive. After the war, Jedruszazak and her children went to the Philippines and then came to Australia, where they stayed for a time at the migrant hostel in Bathurst, NSW. In 1949 Jedruszazak moved to Goulburn where she raised her children, met and married her second husband and became a cleaning lady in the chapel of the convent of the Sisters of St Joseph.
