BiographyHistory

Jamal Amin was born in Kurdistan, in Iraq. He gained a Bachelor of Law from the University of Baghdad and practiced law in Kurdistan. He has been a member of numerous Kurdish organisations and associations and has published poetry in Kurdish and Arabic. After migrating to Australia in 2002, Amin undertook a Masters degree in Law at the University of Adelaide. He has worked as a Community Officer with the Middle Eastern Communities Council and, in 2008, he was working with Centrelink in South Australia.
