BiographyHistory

Charles Bourne and his wife and one child arrived in the Swan River Colony (Western Australia) on the "Minstrell". He farmed in parnership with William Nairne Clark and was sole proprietor, publisher and printer of the Swan River Guardian, a newspaper founded and edited by Clark in 1836. Charles Bourne left the colony with his wife and two children on the "Shepherd" for Mauritius on 1 April 1837. His partnership with Clark was dissolved in June 1837.
