It centres on 10-year-old Simone, who has recently lost her father and imagines him speaking to her from the top of the large tree in the family garden. Soon, her mother and brothers join in these nocturnal conversations, with the whole family perched on the tree-top, above the noise of the world and beneath the neighbours' astonished gaze.'

While working on a rabbit-proof fence in 1929, Australia's leading crime writer of the period, Arthur Upfield, began plotting the perfect murder for his 1931 novel The Sands of Windee. A discussion between Upfield and a fellow worker about finding a fool-proof means of disposing of a body to use in the novel was overheard by one of the author's friends, stockman 'Snowy' Rowles. Shortly afterwards Rowles murdered three men and put the scheme into effect. He was later charged by police, however, and the subsequent trial became one of Australia's most sensational during the 1930s.

Troy, living in 2008, meets Wiremu Love, the teenage navigator of timeship The Chronos, who has travelled back in time. Together, they travel further back and meet Carmen, a cavegirl. The three teenagers combine forces to combat time-viruses that could wipe out history's greatest inventions.

The program, which only ran to thirteen episodes, was created by Paula Boock and Donna Malane, and was a co-production between Taylor Media Pty Ltd (Australia) and Gibson Group (New Zealand).
