BiographyHistory

'Pirarrarna Makanykarra was a stockman on De Grey Station and Shaw River Station... He participated in the 1946 [Aboriginal pastoral] strike.' Pirarrarna Makanykarra composed songs in Ngarla, an Aboriginal language spoken in the Pilbara area of Western Australia. Ngarla Songs (2003)
