Lexine Solomon was raised by a Torres Strait Islander father and a South Sea Islander mother in Ayr, North Queensland. She has been a solo singer, choral director, and backing vocalist for more than twenty years and has released two albums: This Is Woman (2002) and Strike a Pose (2006). She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Adult Education and Community Management at the University of Technology, Sydney. Solomon continues to perform both in Australia and internationally.
