'Tim Causer has worked as Senior Research Associate at the Bentham Project in UCL’s Faculty of Laws. He is a historian of convict transportation, and his research has focused upon the infamous penal station at Norfolk Island (1825–55). He was formerly the co-ordinator of the award-winning Transcribe Bentham initiative, and—in a project funded by the AHRC has worked on  investigating and editing Bentham’s writings on transportation, Australia, and colonialism.
