Kate Norbury completed an Honours degree in French and German at Cambridge University, followed by nearly ten years working in television production in London. After an extensive period of travel, including a year in Rome working as a translator for historic photographic archives, she returned to London and completed a Master's degree in Children's Literature at Surrey University, Roehampton. After moving to Sydney together with her family, she is writing a PhD in teen fiction and film at Macquarie University, Sydney. (2012)
