Notes
-
Note that there has been some confusion over Henderson's middle name. This might have originated with with Miller & Macartney (A Historical Outline of Australian Literature), who erroneously list Henderson and W. Gordon Henderson (q.v.) as the same author, whilst The Oxford Companion to Australian Literature has his entry as 'Henderson, Walter Gordon [George]'. However there is little doubt that Henderson's middle name was George - N.S.W. birth and death records indicate this, and the title page of his novel Norah Conough has 'Walter George Henderson' (his other novels have only 'W. G. Henderson').
