BiographyHistory

Publisher of reprint and original titles; emphasis on fiction. Known best for exploiting film tie-ins. In 1969 Belmont merged with Tower Publications though the imprints remained separated until 1973 when they became Belmont-Tower Books. In 1975 Belmont-Tower became Tower Publications with Belmont-Tower as an imprint. By 1979 Belmont-Tower was publishing only non-fiction. In 1982 Tower Publications was liquidated. Tower Publications and Tower Books, Leisure Books and Midwood Books have ceased.
