BiographyHistory

Born into a family of teachers, Constance Tisdall was educated at home and various schools in Victoria. She completed her education at the University of Melbourne, Taking a BA in 1903 and an MA in 1906. She subsequently pursued a long career as a teacher and administrator, retiring from St Christophers' Training College for Women in 1947. After retiring, she continued to read voraciously and taught English literature to migrants for many years. In 1961 she completed Forerunners, a book about the teaching experiences of her family. Australian Nature Stories for Children appears to be her only other book.
