BiographyHistory

Van Loon grew up in inner-city Melbourne. She has taught English and is a librarian. She has written readers for children (White Cockatoo, 1993; Mount Martha Monster, 1987). Van Loon has visited schools, talking to children about the process of writing and illustrating children's books, and using this opportunity to generate enthusiasm for children's own story writing. Wife of John Van Loon.
