BiographyHistory

Devika Das was born in Singapore and immigrated to Australia when she was 21. After working in women's shelters and the public service, Das completed a degree in journalism at the Canberra College of Advanced Education and moved to Melbourne in 1985. She has read her poetry in Canberra and Townsville, had short stories and poems published, and some of her plays staged.
