BiographyHistory

Born in Warsaw, Poland, he graduated from the Warsaw Technical University with a Phd in 1974. While in Poland he was involved in the production of three books and numerous articles in various newspapers and magazines as well as writing for radio and TV programmes. He was three times awarded first prize by the Polish Association of Journalists. He is a foundation member of the Queensland Multicultural Writers Association. He received literature grants in Australia in 1983 and 1984. He is a professional translator and works with the Immigration Department as head of the Translation Section in Brisbane. He is also President of the Polish Association of Queensland and editor of the Polish Monthly in Brisbane.
