BiographyHistory

Marie Maguire lived most of her life in Leeton, New South Wales, later retiring to the south coast of New South Wales. She started writing in 1984 aged 65. Her work deals with aspects of life in pioneering days, and some of her haiku poetry was published in Japan. Other publications include Living Memories : tales of Leeton and its pioneers (1984), Where Sheep Once Grazed (1985), Local Government in Leeton, 1928-1988 (1988) and Rotary in Leeton, 1940-1990 (1990).
