During the period from 1967 to 1982, Hans-Georg Noack translated several young adults novels into German. Four of these novels are by Ivan Southall: To the Wild Sky, re-titled 'Uberleben' (1967), Bread and Honey, ('Tag der Helden') (1971), Chinaman's Reef is Ours, ('Die Stadt gehort uns') (1971) and Josh, ('Tim'), (1972). Other works translated into German are Mavis Thorpe's novel The Min Min, ('Sylvia und de Taugenichts') (1969); When Jays Fly to Barbmo (Margaret Balderson), titled( 'Eichelhäher über Barbmo' ) (1971) and Colour in the Creek (Margaret Paice), ('Dem Gold auf der Spur') (1982).

All of these novels have also been translated into other languages including the Scandinavian languages, Japanese, Dutch and Spanish.
