BiographyHistory

Rebecca Williams married William Arthur Jones, and they came to SA before 1883. William was a teacher, and they lived in Bute and Black Rock Plains. They had two children. Their younger son, Hooper Josse Brewster Jones, was a talented musician, beginning his career as a child prodigy giving recitals on the Adelaide Town Hall organ at the age of seven. He later went to London to study, and while there, changed his surname to Brewster-Jones. It appears that Rebecca took on her son's name.
