BiographyHistory

John Stuart Mould, naval officer and architect, emigrated to Australia with his family at the age of two.

With Hugh Randal Syme, H. D. Reid and J. H. H. Kessack, Mould was chosen to serve in the Royal Navy's Rendering Mines Safe section at the start of World War II.

He received a commendation for bravery in June 1941 and won the George Medal in April 1942 and the George Cross in November 1842.

Mould returned to Australia in 1948 and worked as an architect.
