BiographyHistory

Patience Tillyard was the daughter of Robin John Tillyard and Patricia Tillyard. Robin Tillyard, in addition to his work as an entomologist, founded the Australian National Review: this periodical published the only work so far identified as by Patience, the short story 'The Evil that Men Do'. She served in World War 2, being discharged with the rank of Flight Officer. Patricia Tillyard, then Patricia Wardle after marrying Robert Wardle in 1956, died in 1992 following a car accident.
