BiographyHistory

In 1999 Kathryn Hay was the first Aboriginal person to become Miss Australia. Her mother came from the Nyoongar people of Western Australia. Hay has a Bachelor of Education from the University of Tasmania and in 2002 she was elected to the State seat of Bass as a Member House of Assembly.
