BiographyHistory

Rita La Bianca moved to Australia, settling in Perth with her parents and later worked in the Real Estate industry as a Conveyancer. A speaker of Italian and English, she has served as an executive member of the Western Australia branch of the Fellowship of Australian Writers (FAW). She was the winner of the FAW Lismore prize in 1988, and won second prize in the 1990 Timbertech Competition. She has worked also as a freelance writer in a community base with a special interest in the migrant experience.
