Pip Griffin trained as a primary school teacher and has taught in New Zealand and Australia. She has also created and delivered training progams in writing and communication skills for Australian civil servants. Griffin has a degree in anthropology and she has been writing fiction since 1990. She has had short stories published in Womanspeak and in Sydney Life. She began to write poetry in earnest in 1998.
