BiographyHistory

Cliff Page grew up in Melbourne and left school at 15. He worked for the State Electricity Commission and during the Depression was a jackeroo in the Riverina. He married in 1937 and about this time entered the Anglican church. He served for a number of years as a lay reader and, in his fiftieth year, was ordained a priest for the diocese of Bendigo. He was rector of Heathcote (1961-1963), Tatura (1963-1973) and Daylesford (1973-1976). Page had a great love of literature and, during his many years of retirement, obtained great enjoyment from writing poetry.
