BiographyHistory

Joanna Lafebre was born in Blaricum, North Holland. A teacher of Art for many years, she wrote plays and puppet shows for home theatricals in Holland. In Australia she began writing in English in 1982. She has been a member of the Writers and Readers Circle, Port Stephens. In 1982 she won joint first prize for short story from Newcastle Radio FM. She has read at the local Community Arts Centre and at the annual Writers Camp, Morpeth. Some of her short fiction has been read on Newcastle University FM Radio.
