BiographyHistory

Darby Jampijinpa Ross was of the Warlpiri people whose country is Ngarnayarlpirri in the Tanami desert of central Australia. He worked as a stockman, cameleer and prospector, and converted to Christianity. He was also a leader of his people, a rainmaker and founding member of the Warlukurlangu Artists Aboriginal Corporation.
