Social-realist television drama aimed at a teenage audience.
According to Screen Australia,
'Seventeen-year-old Brian Johnson lives with his mother in a highrise housing complex on the industrial side of town. Brian has had many knocks in his life - a father who has deserted him, two elder brothers living on the edge of criminal activity, and his own hot-headed temper to deal with. If Brian has only one wish, it is to escape the shattered world of a dysfunctional family. The story follows Brian as he tries to get out of these disturbing surroundings and ends up with him beginning work at the local steel mill.'
