Dedication: To Alfred Hill (Orpheus Redivivus) who composed the music for this play...music sweeter than songs the young birds sing; hearing it, fairies grow fairer; while Pierrot, wakened, seeks Columbine at the same time that Columbine seeks him. Also to Doris Fitton who, with intuitive genius, brought this fantasy upon the stage.
